Tips

Ladies, I know this is going to sound obvious but I’m going to state it for the record anyway, when we say “use a tape measure” we mean use a soft tape measure – no school rulers or hubby’s DIY little number.

And we will be working in inches for this guide. "Rule Britannia" - no pun intended!

Step 1

Lets find out what your band size is (can also be known as "under band" or "back" size or "under bust measurement"):-

Place the tape measure around the rib cage immediately under your boobs; try to keep the tape level all the way round. The tape should feel quite tight – but not uncomfortable. Make a note of the measurement in inches – if it is an even number add four inches and if it is an odd number add 5 inches. This is your band size (ie. measured band size 29"+ 5" = 34")

Step 2

Lets find our what your bust size is:- measure around the fullest part of your boobs in inches – make a note this is your bust size. (eg. 38")

Step 3

What's my cup size?
Your cup size is the difference between the result of step 2 (your bust size) and the result of step 1 (your band size). If your bust size is the same as your band size your cup size is A, 1" difference and your cup size is B, 2" difference = C, 3" = D, 4" = DD and so on – please refer to our easy to read “differences” table to establish your cup size. In our example 38" – 34" = 4" and four inches is a DD cup so our bra size = 34DD
